Slope protection with Geo Cell combines mechanical confinement with vegetation, creating a stable green slope that resists erosion, shallow sliding and surface runoff.
Applications: highway embankment slopes, hill road cut slopes, river bank protection, canal slopes, mining dump rehabilitation, landscaped urban slopes.
Design considerations: slope angle (steeper slopes need taller cells, anchored Geo Cell rather than free-standing), cell height (typically 75 to 150 mm for slopes), infill type (topsoil for vegetation, aggregate for higher strength, concrete for armoured surfaces).
Installation sequence: prepare and level the slope, install anchoring (steel pins or stakes) along the top edge, unroll and connect Geo Cell panels down the slope, anchor at predetermined positions, fill the cells with the chosen infill material starting from the top, seed or hydroseed the topsoil-filled cells for vegetation.
Vegetation establishment: seed mix appropriate to local climate and slope orientation, mulch and water during establishment. Vegetation roots reinforce the slope long-term, making the Geo Cell plus vegetation system extremely durable.
Auroguard supplies HDPE Geo Cell with anchoring accessories and design support for slope protection projects across India.
